IWO Sinjai Dilantik, Jodhi Yudono : Wartawan adalah Pekerjaan yang Mulia

Sinjai, Sulsel — Pengurus Daerah (PD) Ikatan Wartawan Online (IWO) Kabupaten Sinjai, Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan periode 2018-2023 resmi dilantik di Gedung Pertemuan Sinjai Jalan Persatuan Raya, Kecamatan Sinjai Utara, Kamis (20/9/2018).

Ketua Umum Jodhi Yudono membacakan Ikrar IWO setelah Surat Keputusan (SK) kepengurusan dibacakan oleh Sekretaris I Pusat IWO Edward Panggabean. Selanjutnya Petaka IWO diserahkan oleh Ketua IWO Propinsi Sulsel, Zulkifli Thahir.

Pejabat Bupati Sinjai, Jufri Rahman berharap IWO menjadi organisasi wartawan yang modern, terbuka dan mengedukasi baik anggotanya maupun terhadap masyarakat atau pembaca.

“Saya yakin IWO dapat mempelopori terbangunnya komunitas anti hoax dan senantiasa berupaya membangun suasana adem dan menyejukkan dengan tetap kritis terhadap penyimpangan yang terjadi,” ujar Jufri.

Jufri menilai peran IWO sangat strategis dalam melakukakan sosialisasi dan diseminasi kebijakan pemerintah. Di saat yang sama IWO harus mampu menyuarakan aspirasi dan kepentingan masyarakat.

“Yang jelas IWO sebagai organisasi profesi harus menjamin dan mengedukasi anggotanya untuk profesional,” ucapnya.

Sementara itu Ketua Umum IWO, Jodhi Yudono mengucapkan selamat kepada para pengurus yang telah dilantik. Dia mengatakan wartawan adalah pekerjaan yang mulia, karena wartawan seperti Nabi yang menyampaikan pesan.

“Menjadi wartawan adalah pilihan yang mulia. Sebagai wartawan, kualitas kita ditentukan oleh tulisan kita, tetaplah kalian menjadi pengawas dan menjadikan Kabupaten Sinjai lebih baik lagi,” jelas editor Kompas.com ini.

Senada dengan Jodhi, Ketua PW IWO Sulsel, Zulkifli Thahir berharap IWO memberikan kontribusi positif untuk pembangunan daerah khusus di Sinjai.

“Tidak apa-apa kritik tapi membangun,” katanya dihadapan Bupati dan unsur Forkompimda dan kepala desa,” ujarnya.

Usai dilantik, Muh. Syahidin, Ketua PD IWO Sinjai mengatakan IWO tidak akan terbentuk jika bukan karena kerjasama pimpinan pusat dan wilayah.

Kehadiran organisasi ini kata Dhidink sapaannya bukan hanya sekedar wadah, tapi ini merupakan tempat berhimpun untuk berbuat demi memajukan bangsa dan negara, khususnya di Bumi Panrita Kitta.

“Khususnya di tempat kita berpijak ini, yaitu di kabupaten Sinjai,” kata Dhidink.

Selain dihadiri oleh, Pj. Bupati Sinjai Jufri Rahman, Dewan Kehormatan IWO Tayeb Mappasere. Juga hadir, Dandim 1424 Sinjai, Letkol Info. Oohh Sahrojat. S.Ag.,M.Tr, Kapolres Sinjai AKBP Ardiansyah, Ketua DPRD Sinjai Abdul Haris Umar, dan ormas kepemudaan di Siniai diantaranya Ansor, Ketua KNPI Sinjai Satria Ramli, dan Ketua KPU Sinjai Arsal Arifin.
