Pengurus Daerah Ikatan Wartawan Online IWO Bogor Raya resmi dilantik. Pelantikan di tandai dengan penyerahan Bendera Pataka oleh Ketua Umum PP IWO Jodhi Yudono kepada Didin HMY yang Didaulat memimpin IWO Bogor Raya periode 2017 – 2022. Pelantikan disaksikan oleh segenap unsur Muspida Kota dan Kabupaten Bogor beserta seluruh undangan yang hadir di Gedung Serbaguna 1 Pemkab Bogor, Cibinong, Kabupaten Bogor, Senin (5/11/2018).

“Organisasi IWO sebagai pengemban amanah peradaban di tengah kondisi bangsa yang diserbu oleh berita bohong atau hoax. Untuk itu pengurus IWO Bogor Raya harus menjadi bagian pengemban amanah tersebut,” ungkap Ketua Pengurus Pusat PP IWO Jodhi Yudono dalam amanatnya.

Acara Pelantikan IWO Bogor Raya dan Diskusi Publik dibuka oleh Bupati Bogor yang diwakili Beti Sugiarti, Kabid Layanan Komunikasi dan Informatika Diskominfo dan Kabag Humas dan Protokol Setda Kota Bogor, Drs Endang Suherman mewakili Walikota Bogor. Dilanjutkan sambutan dari Danrem 061/Suryakancana yang dibacakan oleh Kapenrem 061/Sk Mayor Inf. Ratno Sudarmadi. SE.

Bupati Bogor dalam sambutan tertulisnya yang dibacakan Beti Sugiarti, Kabid Layanan Komunikasi dan Informatika Diskominfo Kabupaten Bogor mengucapkan selamat kepada pengurus daerah IWO Bogor Raya yang telah dilantik pada hari ini, disertai harapan agar mampu menjadi pengurus yang amanah untuk menggerakkan potensi organisasi, baik dalam menjalankan program kerja maupun dalam berkontribusi meningkatkan profesionalisme para wartawan online dalam menjalankan tugasnya.

“Wartawan yang profesional pada dasarnya adalah yang benar-benar memahami batasan-batasan karya jurnalistik yang memenuhi tuntutan keterbukaan informasi publik. Namun tetap dalam koridor standard kelayakan dan kepatutan sesuai dengan UU nomor 40 tahun 1999 tentang pers,” kata Bupati Bogor.

Senada dengan Bupati Bogor, Walikota Bogor dalam sambutan tertulisnya yang dibacakan oleh Kabag Humas dan Protokol Setda Kota Bogor, Drs Endang Suherman mengucapkan hal yang serupa.

Di tahun 2019 mendatang, lanjut Bupati, Indonesia akan melaksanakan pesta demokrasi yakni Pemilu Pileg dan Pilpres tentunya sarat dengan isu hoax dan sara. Situasi tersebut tentunya sangat rentan konflik yang akan membahayakan bagu stabilitas bangsa

Oleh karena itu, Kedua nya mengharapkan peran dan dukungan para wartawan online untuk menjadi filter yang cerdas dan mencerdaskan masyarakat dengan berupaya mengembangkan jurnalisme positif, dalam arti bersifat edukatif dan menjunjung tinggi nilai nilai religi, khasanah, serta kearifan lokal yang selama ini menjadi bagian dari etika budaya komunikasi sosial kita sebagai bangsa yang bermartabat.

Acara dilanjutkan dengan Diskusi Publik dengan tema “Wartawan di Tengah Pusaran Pileg dan Pilpres 2019” dipandu Presenter Kompas TV, Frisca Clarissa sebagai moderator.

Menghadirkan Narasumbur diantaranya, Ketua KPU Kota Bogor Drs. Undang Suryatna, M.Si., Ketua Bawaslu Kabupaten Bogor Irvan Firmansyah, Ketua Umum Masyarakat Pejuang Bogor (MPB) Atiek Yulis Setyowati yang juga Pengamat sosial, Kapenrem 061/Suryakancana Mayor Inf. Ratno Sudarmadi,SE., Ketua Umum DPP IWO Jhodi Yudono dan Iptu. Hidayat, KBO Reskrim Polres Bogor.
