Pengurus Daerah IWO Karawang-Jawa Barat Terbentuk, Bupati Apresiasi kehadiran IWO

Karawang, Jawa Barat – Pengurus Daerah (PD) Ikatan Wartawan Online (IWO) Kabupaten Karawang periode 2019-2024 resmi dilantik. Dengan Ega Nugraha wartawan Pojok Jabar ditunjuk selaku Ketua. Pelantikan dan pengambilan sumpah para pengurus, dilakukan langsung oleh Ketua Umum IWO Jodhi Yudhono, di Swiss Bellinn Hotel Karawang, Selasa (27/8/2019) siang.

Secara simbolis Jodhi juga menyerahkan bendera (pataka) IWO kepada Ega, sebagai pertanda organisasi tersebut siap untuk ikut mewarnai dunia.

Proses pelantikan disaksikan oleh unsur Muspida Karawang, di antaranya Bupati, Kapolres, Perwakilan Kodim, Kejari dan termasuk para pengurus IWO se-Jawa Barat. Bupati Karawang Cellica Nurrachadiana dalam sambutannya, sangat mengapresiasi eksistensi teman-teman media online. Menurutnya, IWO harus bisa jadi penghubung antara masyarakat dan pemerintah daerah. “Sebaik-baik nya organisasi yang baik adalah yang meninggalkan peradaban dengan legacy yang baik,” imbuh Cecilia.

IWO adalah mitra dan kepanjangan tangan kami. Jika ada yang salah katakan salah, jika ada yang benar katakan salah. “Kalau pemerintah salah, silahkan kritik kami, tapi kasih juga solusinya. Kalau baik tolong dipublis yang baik pula. Inilah perlunya IWO sebagai jembatan mediasi bagi pemerintah daerah untuk menata media,” ujar Bupati Karawang.

“Kami sampaikan banyak terima kasih. Yang pasti kami siap menjalankan amanah dan ikut membangun daerah,” ujar Ega Nugraha, yang akrab disapa Kang Ega dalam sambutannya usai dilantik menjadi Ketua PD IWO Karawang.

Sementara itu, Jodhi Yudhono Ketum IWO menyampaikan, di era industri 4.0 ini, pekerjaan yang diulang-ulang akan digantikan oleh robot. Oleh karenanya, jangan sampai profesi wartawan digeser oleh robot. “Media cetak akan ditinggalkan,” katanya.

Sebagai jembatan informasi yang ter-update dan ini makanya kami sempatkan saya untuk hadir. Namun tidak dipungkiri ada oknum media online yang menulis berita hoax. (IWO)
