Ketum Ajak Pengurus IWO Jadi Penulis Yang Baik

Pasangkayu, Sulawesi Barat — Pengurus Pusat Ikatan Wartawan Online (IWO) resmi melantik pengurus IWO Kabupaten Pasangkayu, Sulawesi Barat, Selasa (10/4/2018) di bawah komando Abdul Muis dari media jurnalfokus.com. Ketua Umum IWO Jodhi Yudono menilai membentuk organisasi dan melantik adalah hal yang mudah, namun merawat apa yang telah dibentuk, itu lebih susah dari yang dibayangkan.

Dengan mengambil tema bersama pers membangun Kabupaten Pasangkayu, ini adalah bagian dari aplikasi bahwa pers itu adalah pilar ke-4 demokrasi, pertama eksekutif legislatit, yudikatif dan yang keempat pers.

“Kenapa pers ini menjadi sedemikian penting, karena dengan tulisan, gambar dan vidio bisa mengubah cara pandang orang . Kenapa pers sedemikian penting, karena pers bisa menentukan hitam dan putihnya perjalanan bangsa ini,” ujar Jhodi.

“Namun demikian, kata dia sekarang ini masyarakat sedang jenuh dengan pemberitaan di media mainstream, walhasil masyarakat membuat berita sendiri yang kadang tidak memenuhi kaidah-kaidah jurnalistik,
sehingga muncul hoax,” sambung Jodhi.

Hadirnya media sosial saat ini memang membantu masyarakat untuk saling bersilaturahmi dan berkomunikasi. Meski demikian, kata Jodhi bahwa yang tertulis di media sosial itu baru sebatas Informasi, di sana tidak ada kaidah berita.

“Karenanya, pers untuk mengemasnya agar menjadi sebuah berita perlu ada konfirmasi dari kedua belah pihak dan berbagai sumber lainnya,” ucap dia.

Dia menekankan bahwa Pers itu sama seperti kaum intelektual, harus mampu menganalisa suatu informasi, dan meramu setiap kejadian dan peristiwa untuk menjadi sebuah berita. Karena itu pengurus IWO jadilah penulis yang baik.

“Jika ingin menulis yang baik, jadilah pembaca yang baik. Mustahil menjadi penulis yang baik kalau malas membaca, karena akan menghasilkan penulisan yang tidak baik, mari banyak membaca” ungkap Jodhi.

Nah, terkait dengan tema dalam pelantikan IWO Kabupaten Pasangkayu, Jodhi berharap kepada para wartawan agar memberikan kontribusi yang baik kepada generasi mendatang, seperti halnya memberi pelatihan kepada adik-adik pelajar baik SMP dan SMA.

“Karena saat ini media sosial sangat berhubungan dekat dengan mereka (SMA), karena itu ajarkan penulisan yang baik untuk adik-adik SMA. Jika butuh tenaga ahli untuk pelatihan menulis, bisa mengajak IWO Pusat,” ucap dia.

Redaktur Kompas.com itu juga berharap kepada wartawan yang berada di kabupaten Pasangkayu dan pengurus IWO Indonesia untuk menjadi wartawan tidak hanya memberitakan berita hukum, politik dan ekonomi saja, tapi berita kemanusian, budaya dan pariwisata juga harus diberitakan.

“Itulah yang membuktikan bahwa pers ini sahabat masyarakat, sahabat pemerintah setempat. Kita bersahabat dengan siapa saja tapi kita tetap menjaga independensi kita sebagai pewarta,” tutup dia.

Pelantikan pengurus itu disaksikan unsur Forum Organisasi Perangkat Daerah (Forperda) dan pemangku kepentingan setempat. Di antara yang hadir, Bupati Pasangkayu Ir.H. Agus Ambo Djiwa, Wakil Ketua Pengadilan Negeri Pasangkayu Estafana Purwanto,SH, mewakili Kejaksaan Negeri dan Kepolisian serta para Kepala Desa yang ada di kabupaten ujung utara Provinsi Sulbar yang memasuki hari jadinya ke 15 tahun pada 17 April 2018 mendatang.
