Rakernas IWO Resmi Dibuka, Menjadi Konstituen Dewan Pers Jadi Agenda Utama

DEPOK – Rapat Kerja Nasional (Rakernas) Ikatan Wartawan Online (IWO) secara resmi digelar di Shekinah Village, Kota Depok, Senin (11/3/2019).

Tercatat sebanyak 150 pengurus dan anggota IWO dari seluruh Indonesia turut hadir dalam Rakernas yang digelar selama 2 hari tersebut.

Ketua Umum IWO, Jodhi Yudono dalam sambutannya menegaskan ada tiga agenda utama yang akan dibahas selama Rakernas.

“Yang pertama adalah menuju konstituen Dewan Pers,” ujar Jodhi salam sambutannya.

Untuk mewujudkan hal tersebut, lanjut Jodhi, di Rakernas akan dibentuk tim perumus yang akan mengawal agenda IWO menjadi konstituen Dewan Pers.

Agenda berikutnya adalah menentukan program kerja IWO dalam jangka pendek, jangka menengah dan jangka panjang. Selain itu, agenda lainnya adalah sosialisasi Kode Etik Wartawan Online (KEWO).

Jodhi menambahkan kehadiran peserta Rakernas IWO menunjukkan tingginya solidaritas dan rasa kebersamaan untuk mewujudkan IWO menjadi organisasi pers yang besar dimasa yang akan datang.

“Kehadiran kita adalah bahwa kita berdiri diatas kaki sendiri. Bahwa kita tidak bisa didikte oleh siapapun. Kita hadir disini adalah karena ada rasa sayang diantara kita,” tambahnya.

Dalam kesempatan itu, Jodhi juga menegaskan keberpihakan IWO pada aspek kemanusiaan. “Bangsa ini sekarang sudah kehilangan kasih sayang. IWO akan membangunan persaudaraan dan peradaban. Melalui forum Rakernas ini saya tegaskan bahwa IWO peduli dengan kemanusiaan. Kita wartawan, tapi jangan lupa kemanusiaan,” lanjutnya.
